Farmhouse Slang - Mixed Fermentation Saison

If you have been paying even the slightest bit of attention, you have noticed we love Saison. Perhaps more than any other style, depending on who you ask around the brewery. In fact, over the years, we have brewed over a dozen difference expressions of this quintessential Belgian ale. As another year quickly escapes us, we wanted to release one more iteration of our mixed fermentation, dry-hopped Saison Farmhouse Slang. We wanted to time the release of this beer around Thanksgiving and use the holiday to show folks how well Saison can pair with a variety of foods. This quote from a craft beer pioneer says it best.

“If I were forced to choose one style to drink with every meal for the rest of my life, saison would have to be it. At any given time there is at least one case of saison in my cellar. Saison is not just versatile – it’s downright promiscuous. It seems to go with almost everything. The combination of dynamic bitterness, scouring carbonation, bright aromatics, spicy flavors, pepper notes, dark earthy underpinnings, and racy acidity gives these beers a hook to hang their hat on for a wide range of dishes.” - Garret Oliver, Brooklyn Brewery

This release will showcase the Australian hop variety Galaxy. On the global hop market, this is one of the most sought-after breeds that we just can’t get enough of. It is bright and tropical, with almost no piney or floral notes, shines in a variety of styles. Given what limited supply we have, we decided that the delicate nature and bottle conditioning aspects of Farmhouse Slang provide a perfect platform for showcasing restrained bitterness and nuanced aromatics.

We are thrilled to finally release another batch of our awarding Saison. 500ml bottles of this beauty will be available Friday, November 17 in the tasting room. $7 a piece with no limit. 12 oz pours on draft (no crowler / growler fills).
